F1 in Schools Australia Grand Prix: Melbourne - March 2010

Updated: Final team scores shown below

Teams were assessed on a wide range of criteria and the final scores are out of 300 points.

The top team in Professional and Apprentice class are selected to represent Australia at the next world championships.

The stars of the 2009 Season National Final, the Australia Schools Grand Prix, are the Students and Teachers from 26 teams, representing 7 States and Territories from all corners of Australia. The students from Grades 5—12 are the cream of Australia's up and coming engineering and innovation talent.

Teams have qualified for National Final invitation by winning their class, (Apprentice, Pro Junior or Pro Senior), through School, Regional and then State level competitions. Another 7 teams have been awarded Wild Card invitations in recognition of their potential to excel.

The National Finalists compete in two classes, Apprentice and Professional (Jnr + Snr combined). The National Champion Apprentice and Professional Teams, to be crowned at the 2010 FORMULA 1 AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX, win a trip to represent Australia at the 2010 F1 in Schools World Championships!
