Schools > Curriculum

The F1 in Schools Technology Challenge is a bench mark, multi-disciplinary program, ready to be integrated into your curriculum. The program is usually incorporated in Technology, Design or Science faculties, however has also been integrated into Maths, Enterprise and Business.

This action-learning model is tested and justified - it attracts even the most disengaged students, teaching them theory and real-life skills. It's one of the few programs where connections between the classroom and reality are obvious and relevant, and as all the science and math theory is centred about 'going faster' - students love it!

Learning outcomes are achieved in, but not limited to, technology, design, maths and science areas, with students achieving practical skills in:

  • Design process
  • Motion
  • Aerodynamics
  • CAD/CAM/CNC
  • Material Sciences
  • Project management
  • Enterprise & marketing
  • Industry links & career awareness
  • Collaboration
  • Team-work
  • Public speaking & presentation skills

Government and Industry have supported the F1 in Schools program expansion on Local, State and Federal levels. Hundreds of schools are involved in Australia, and their students are getting quality learning outcomes, enjoying school, getting access to multi-million dollar technologies, and being offered jobs before they even finish school. The training that the F1 in Schools program provides to students is valued at over $10,000 commercially, per student trained.
