BE THE NEXT WORLD CHAMPIONS!
The F1 in Schools Technology Challenge Australia is open to all Australian students, from years 5-12. It doesn't matter if you are a primary or secondary school, public or private. Additionally, school teachers and industry can compete in the new 'Industry' class, alongside the students.
Teams can compete in the following categories:
- Apprentice Class
- Team members are between grades 5-9 and no team member has previously competed (i.e. been registered in a team) in the F1 in Schools competition.
- Professional Junior Class
- Grades 5-9, where any team member has competed before.
- Professional Senior Class
- Grades 10-12, first timers or previous competitors.
- Industry Class
- Up to two industry representatives, or one teacher and one industry representative.
- Note: Industry teams compete using the rules and regulations of a Professional Senior class team.
Before the first round of competition, usually a regional final, teams are required to register in the competition. See the rules and regulations for costs and registration details.
State Champion Apprentice, ProJUNIOR, ProSENIOR and Industry teams are invited to the National Championships. At the National Championships, the ProJUNIOR and ProSENIOR classes are combined into one 'Professional' class.
The National Final winning Apprentice and Professional class teams are invited to represent Australia at the International Finals.
